Opening Questions
1. What are your initial thoughts about the people around you?
"I have not had the opportunity to get a good feel for the others at camp quite yet. Perhaps this was a mistake, but I was waiting for the game to start before I got on AIM and started devoting time to socializing and getting to know the others. Now that we are all at one camp for now, it worries me that maybe I should have been playing a stronger social game from the beginning. Hopefully I'm not the only one who was waiting for the game to get started before introducing myself to the others."
2. You’re all in one camp. But what happens next?
"My guess is there will be some sort of challenge of some sort to split up the tribes. Who knows. If this game starts out with everyone on one tribe, then this is sure to be a crazy game! This is Survivor, and we are supposed to expect the unexpected. I'm not going to start making assumptions just yet. I will just go with the flow and try to be ready for whatever gets thrown at us!"
3. Does anyone stand out as a threat?
"Not yet. Like I said, I have not had a great chance to get to know everyone yet. I'm sure we will be able to get a clearer picture as to who the threats are after we start competing in some of the challenges."
4. Does anyone stand out as a weak link?
"Same answer as above."
5. What do you think peoples perception of you is?
"If there is any perception of me thus far, it is probably just that I am quiet or have not been around on AIM, which is true up until this point. Otherwise, people probably have not formed an opinion on me just yet because they have not had the chance to get to know anything about me. I'm definitely going to try to step up my social game. First impressions are crucial, so now I am going to try to have a good first impression as the game starts rolling."

It is interesting that Carl decides to be the person to step up. "Somebody has to be the leader," he claimed. He also claimed he chose the people who were active, online, and contributed to conversation. Very interesting since where has Carl been since the beginning of this game? He was at the right place at the right time, as were several of the people on this "active" tribe. So here I am, already labeled as weaker than 8 other people in this game. Let's hope that the Prisoners can make a comeback and show them who really rules around here.

I thought about posting something in the thread to poke fun at Carl, but I have to contain my sass for the moment. There's no need for me to be labeled as the bitch round 1. But Carl has already put a huge target on my back by basically alienating half of the people in this game. I don't mind being with "weaker" players, although I think he should've been more careful with his words. I was on AIM for a couple of hours when I saw sign ups were closed, and no one approached me and tried to talk to me. It seems like a very non talkative group so far. And now the people that usually are online definitely won't bother talking to me since they didn't end up on my tribe. My best bet is to give a large contribution to the first challenge and prove my worth. I feel like that is when alliances will begin to form.

I'm not surprised that when it was posted everyone that was online at the time probably gathered together. But that's shortsighted. It only means they were online at the right time. It does not necessarily mean they are the stronger players. Although, I am admittedly surprised that someone like Carl, who I did not see around at all, would label himself as a leader. I'm sure stepping up was a nice stroke to his ego, but he just threw 8 people under the bus. Congratulations, Carl! Great move! However, putting yourself on a tribe of "active" people is not always the most intelligent decision. I cannot be sure exactly what went down, since I was obviously not present for it, but if it was truly a group decision for them all to be together because they are the "strong" and "active" ones, it just means that they will not have such an easy first boot. I, however, am confident in my position already even though I have not even communicated with anyone on my tribe yet. Why? Because I know I can pull my weight in the challenges. And I know someone is destined to be MIA in this group. It's just how ORGs work. So if we lose the first challenge, and we probably will, I know I'm not going anyway. It is always important to have weaker members to vote off in the event of losing challenges. If they have already established themselves as stronger players, they are going to struggle to come to a decision. This only means more chaos if they do have to attend Tribal Council. What good comes from chaos? It would only destroy whatever unity exists within their tribe.
It is my personal mission to have these people in the Prison succeed. I do have to be careful, however. It is now my wish to pull a Carl and establish myself as any sort of leader. To be honest, I am by no means some challenge goddess who can dominate every challenge. It is not often at all that I am claiming individual immunity in an ORG. I can usually hold my own in tribal challenges, but I am never the star. And I don't plan to be. The other tribe will have their eyes peeled for whoever takes lead of the Prisoners. That is surely a position I do not want to usurp for myself. I could see myself falling into this position just because my passion and real drive to start winning challenges now. But I have to hold myself back from going crazy and painting a target on my back. I foresee this game as having many twists and turns. It is based on the Apocalypse, a chaotic event. Therefore, I don't see the same tribe dynamics really sticking for too long. So it is important for me to maintain my adaptability and be able to go with the flow. If I am viewed as a leader instead of just a stable player, I will be a target instead of a go-to for an alliance. I'd rather be seen as consistent rather than powerful, and that is the picture I hope to paint with my presence during the pre-merge.
It will also help if my tribe ever gets on AIM so I can talk to them...

Carl I knew you will choose me over your dad and mom Can we just talk about how grammatically incorrect this statement is? He totally switched verb tenses. As an English major, I am offended, and I am quite happy to not have to deal with this type of behavior on my team. Although maybe I'd prefer someone who cannot speak English over people who just are not around to speak at all....

Have you been able to talk to anyone since the camp formed? So far, I received a PM from Tara introducing herself. Everyone else has been pretty quiet. I just sent individual PMs to the whole tribe to introduce myself and say hi. There's not much else I can do if they are not going to take the time to sign on AIM, which is a tad frustrating. Sasha and Rick are off the 24 hours list, which definitely isn't a good sign for the challenge tonight. Besides the slight chatter at the tribe camp, there's nothing much going on right now. I expect that people will step up and be more social once they see that we are lose. I expect to lose the first two challenges before we really pull it together. It's slightly demoralizing signing on AIM just to see several people from Carl's group online and probably communicating. I've debated whether to attempt to start talking to them and strike up a social game with them, but I just think it would come off as desperate and unwarranted. I don't want to be seen as some sneaky two-sided player at this point. I'm going to be late to the challenge tonight, but I'll still give it my all once I get home. I need to be seen as an asset, and maybe I can pull a few people from this tribe together and get them to step up as well. I don't think people's heads are in the game just yet, and this is probably because the sign ups process went so slow. But it's game on now, bitches! We need to get it together!!!

That awkward moment when you're reading about your character on the Walking Dead wiki since you don't watch the show and you realize you signed up to play as a psychopath....

These people are SO inactive and just don't care about this game, and it's absolutely killing me.
